BRIDGE Update: August 21, 2026

Opportunities for Support

BRIDGE Open Office Hours: The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) and project partners are now holding general Office Hours on a weekly basis. Our next session is scheduled for next Wednesday, Aug. 26, 12-1 p.m. CDT.

SSO & User Authentication Support Sessions: As part of the transition to Infinite Campus, districts will be required to use a Single Sign-On (SSO) provider so staff & students can securely access the Infinite Campus student information system (SIS). We will also cover the generation and management staff usernames and staff IDs that support authentication in Infinite Campus.

K12 Solutions Group: Substitute Teacher Module Training: Infinite Campus’ channel partner, K12 Solutions Group, will host two training sessions related to their “SubLink” package which allows schools/districts to efficiently manage substitute teacher access and required functions within Infinite Campus. As a reminder, this is one of three additional modules purchased by NDDPI available in all district instances of Infinite Campus. The sessions below will also be recorded:

Infinite Campus: Go Live

Implementation doesn’t end at Go Live. After completion, your district is introduced to a dedicated Client Relationship Manager and Infinite Campus Support team to ensure continuity and ongoing success. From product updates and training opportunities to expert support resources, Infinite Campus remains a long‑term partner helping your district maximize the value of your SIS well beyond implementation.

Infinite Campus Scheduled Downtime – Aug. 25

Districts, please be aware that Infinite Campus will undergo an update on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 2:00 AM CDT. During this maintenance window:

If your district has nighttime integrations, please ensure they are adjusted to avoid this downtime window.

STARS Automated File Transfer

Schools can go to STARS and turn on the Automated File Transfer for pupil and EL data.  Please be sure to have an enrollment end date loaded; it defaults to the calendar end date (usually 06/30/2027) and is causing issues with the import. Guidance is now available on the NDDPI Resource Hub. Homeless data imports will be available soon.

Special Education Tool Rights

NDDPI has received several questions about appropriate tool rights for Special Education staff in Infinite Campus. Infinite Campus provides recommended tool rights for Special Education Administrators, but districts may need to adjust these settings based on local roles and responsibilities. We encourage districts to use the suggested list as a starting point and modify permissions as needed, please do not grant the SIS Admin role to anyone who does not need this level of access.

Preventing Duplicate Students

Districts are asked to remind parents to use the correct application process when submitting student information in Infinite Campus. If they are doing an “Annual Update” via the portal, there is a setting to only allow this to be submitted once per calendar (Allow Multiple Parent Portal Applications per Configuration Group).

Regardless of how an application is submitted, district staff can prevent duplicate student records by reviewing and linking people in the application to existing records in Infinite Campus. When processing applications, staff should check the pill icons that indicate linked records and review the “similar people” section to ensure the correct student, parent, or contact is selected. Linking records during processing is the key step that prevents new duplicates from being created.

Districts are encouraged to communicate this information to families and remind staff to carefully check person‑record links during application review.

NDDPI Resource Hub

*New* NDIIS Infinite Campus Import Instructions: The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services has published a new help document for school staff who review and manage student immunization records in the North Dakota Immunization Information System (NDIIS). The guide provides an overview of how enrollment data flows from NDDPI into NDIIS, what tools are available to school users, and the recommended steps for verifying student information and exporting immunization records for use in Infinite Campus.

*New* STARS MIS03 Guidance: This video will walk you through common MIS03 tasks, including rolling over last year’s staff, adding new staff, entering dual credit courses, adding long-term substitutes, and more. Contact Katie Wald at kjwald@nd.gov for questions regarding MIS03 setup.

*New* Child Nutrition Town Hall: NDDPI and Infinite Campus hosted a Town Hall for Child Nutrition Staff on Thursday, Aug 20. The recording and presentation from this session is now available on the NDDPI Resource Hub

Data Migration Updates

PowerSchool Documents: These files include Core Documents, MBA Report Creator documents, and Standards Grades documents. More than 450,000 files have been successfully imported into Infinite Campus. NDDPI is currently reviewing reports for files that were not successfully transferred to determine next steps.

FRAM Eligibility Records: All FRAM eligibility records, including State 225, received from PowerSchool were successfully converted as of Aug.14. This post‑production conversion focused on updating 2027 end‑year records.

Infinite Campus has since received several questions, and a few common themes may help clarify confusion:

Title VI Indigenous Education Data: Submitted district data has been finalized and is expected to be available within Infinite Campus on Aug. 24.

Multiple Infinite Campus Staff Accounts

NDDPI is aware of staff members that serve multiple districts having multiple accounts/credentials to log in to Infinite Campus.

Our current priority is ensuring staff can access the students they serve. At this stage of implementation, we know there are things that need to improve for staff working across multiple districts, and for the districts managing their access to systems. For now, please ensure the staff member can successfully and securely log in to your district’s Infinite Campus environment.

The BRIDGE team will work with you in the near future to provide further instructions, guidance, and support to simplify our approach and system configuration.
